                             PILATES-THERAPY DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY POLICY
   
       When anyone joins a class or attends a 1 to 1 session they will be asked to fill in a form with their health and contact details.  These forms are kept by the Instructor so that they are able to contact you when necessary with details of classes, amendments, cancellations etc.

The instructor needs the health information in order to make sure the exercises you are doing are safe and appropriate. We will ask you to update the form every year but please let us know if any details change in the meantime. We are required by law to keep medical details for 7 years and we will then destroy them securely.

In the meantime these forms will be kept in a folder and taken by the instructors to classes but kept in a locked cabinet between classes. Any information kept on a laptop or tablet will be password protected.

In the event of a data breach Pilates-therapy will follow the correct procedures in reporting any incident and will let you know immediately  if your personal data has been compromised in any way.

The forms will only ever be shown to another Pilates-therapy instructor in the event that they are teaching a class in the absence of your regular instructor, and we will never divulge any of the personal information you give us to anyone else.

Pilates-therapy produces a newsletter approximately 3-4 times a year. If you would like to receive this please give us your email address on the form or opt- in by using the subscribe tab at the bottom of the page. If you wish to stop receiving this at any time please email us and we will remove you from the distribution list immediately.
