Nowadays it is used by a huge variety of sports people from ballet dancers to professional tennis players, rugby players, cyclists, runners, horse riders and so on – the list is endless! Pilates can help the athlete create an evenly conditioned body with balanced strength and flexibility meaning they are less likely to be injured. Pilates conditions the whole body, even the ankles and feet (vital for balance and stability), and aims at all times to achieve good alignment of joint surfaces that are supported by strong, flexible muscles allowing smooth, efficient movements with good control. |

Pilates Therapy can offer something for the athlete of any level – Sunday cyclist through to top professionals. We can provide classes to sports clubs wanting programs specifically tailored for the particular demands of the sport, through to our advanced level general classes which will challenge most athletes or 1 to 1 sessions often preferred by athletes wanting a workout designed specifically for them. Julie Ladd offers 1 to1 sessions and has previously worked at Worcester Warriors training players at the club and with professional cyclists. |
