For Breast Cancer survivors
The Pink Ribbon Program is a post operative, pilates based, recovery program, developed by a survivor for survivors to help regain mobility, and improve strength and posture. It uses the principles of pilates exercises and focuses on shoulder mobility and strength to reduce pain and improve function. It can really help regain confidence and improve well-being. Exercise post cancer has been shown to greatly improve quality of life and this program is often the first step towards returning to normal exercise.
The Program is usually taught over 6 weeks, either one-to-one or in small groups but can be adapted as necessary. It is equally suitable for recent survivors and those whose surgery was some time ago but who have failed to recover full mobility. All Pink Ribbon Program instructors are Certified Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialists. First Individual session, including assessment (1 hour) costs £40.00. Subsequent 30-40 minute sessions £30.00. For more information see also www.pinkribbonprogram.com |
