ABOUT OUR CLASSES

About our Classes

Classes are held in Malvern, Worcester ( St Johns and Barbourne) and the surrounding areas - Kempsey, Hanley Swan, Rushwick, and Powick all have classes. To find out if there are spaces available for your chosen class, please contact us.

How to begin
Everyone needs to attend a 6 week beginner’s course initially. After this you can join the class most appropriate to your needs. The classes are taught at a variety of levels to suit individual needs and offer the maximum benefit. Alternatively you can have some private one to one sessions with an instructor before joining a class when you both feel you are ready. Classes are small so we can make sure you perform each exercise correctly as it is the quality not quantity of movement which is important in Pilates.

All classes use small equipment items at certain times. e .g. resistance bands, small balls, stability rollers. There are also some Ball classes using the large stability balls – these are level 2 and 3 classes.

The different classes
Beginners/Refresher class– No previous experience of Pilates is required. This class teaches the basic principles and beginner level exercises. Suitable for everyone including clients who have done Pilates in the past but would like to revisit the principals and exercises of Pilates.

Rehab classes - suitable for people with medical problems such as arthritis, joint replacements, MS, stroke, cancer survivors or with general mobility problems. This is a small class so the Instructor is able to tailor exercises to individual needs.

Intermediate
– Suitable for people moving on from a beginner or Rehab class and ready to make a steady progression in Pilates.

Gentle Intermediate - a suitable class for those no longer beginners but preferring a steady pace with less strenuous options, often suitable for our more elderly clients.

Advanced - A more challenging class suitable for people carrying no significant injuries or medical problems.
