What is it for?  

It is a unique and effective form of exercise which focuses on developing your core abdominal, back, hip and shoulder muscles
to create a stable base from which you are able to correct your posture, and improve
​tone and flexibility.

How does it work?

The aim of the Pilates technique is to carry out a sequence of movements in a flowing and controlled way which co-ordinates mind, body and breathing. Pilates is about quality of movement, and re-learning correct movement patterns and postures. It will improve your balance and co-ordination as well as boosting your energy levels.

Who is it for?

Pilates is an “intelligent” body conditioning system which uses a series of stretching and strengthening exercises to build your body’s core strength and posture. It is now commonly being used as a powerful rehabilitation tool
by physiotherapists to treat muscular and
​joint problems.
